Bone broth might not be the first thing that comes to your mind when thinking of a superfood, but it actually contains lots of essential nutrients that benefit your health:

  • collagen, benefiting the skin and connective tissue

  • glycine - an amino acid helping with sleep and relaxation

  • protein that aids in weight loss, due to keeping you full longer

  • anti-inflammatory amino acids that protect you from chronic illnesses du to their anti-inflammatory effects

Bones from grass-fed cows or pastured chicken will provide the most health benefits, coming from healthy animals. Grass-fed beef , for example contains CLA - conjugated linoleic acid, a type of polyunsaturated fat that has lots of health benefits: improved metabolic health, aiding in weight loss and a lower risk of diseases.

Making your own bone broth is the best way to make sure you get the most health benefits out of it.
